The dump tuck driver accused of driving high and slamming into a group of motorcycles took the stand in his own defense today.
Michael Jakscht is charged with 16 counts, including manslaughter, aggravated assault and endangerment.
Prosecutors allege he was under the influence of meth when he drove the truck into the motorcyclists, killing four people and leaving several others hurt, including a Phoenix fire captain.
Court records show Jakscht had other driving violations in recent years.
