TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - The grandparents of the youngest victim to die in the January 8th mass shooting is thanking the Tucson community for their love and support.
In a letter to the editor of the Arizona Daily Star Tuesday, Sylvia and Dallas Green of Conowingo, Maryland wrote:
"Thank you, Tucson
As the bereaved grandparents of dear Christina-Taylor Green, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the city, communities, churches and neighborhood that supported our son, John, Roxanna and Dallas in their time of sorrow.
It would have been easy for us to simmer in anger from our loss and hurt to our entire family, but through the unselfish acts of kindness, love and support exhibited by the community, we leave the city hopeful that she did not die in vain."
On Monday, John Green said his daughter's corneas were donated to two children who now have visions, thanks to Christina.
