No. 17 Sun Devil women hope for 5th straight NCAA appearance

TEMPE -- With plenty of experience, the Arizona State women's basketball team is aiming for a fifth consecutive trip to the NCAA tournament.
The Sun Devils are ranked No. 17 nationally in the preseason.
They have won at least one game in the postseason in all four trips to the tournament, including reaching the regional final in 2007.
With a new front line, Arizona State made it to the second round last season, losing to third-seeded Duke, and finishing the season 22-11.
That front line returns along with all-Pac-10 guard Briann January when the Sun Devils open their season tonight in Tempe against Cleveland State in the preseason WNIT.
