TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- The Arizona Cardinals defense is fast, aggressive and hard hitting. Tackling, though, has been a problem.
Defensive breakdowns played a major role in the Cardinals' blowing a 14-point second-half lead in their loss at Carolina last Sunday.
Defensive end Antonio Smith says they "missed a lot of tackles, a lot of big-play tackles."
Despite the loss, the Cardinals are 4-3 and have a two-game lead in the NFC West going in to Sunday's contest at St. Louis. It's the first of three consecutive games against division foes.
