PHOENIX -- Phoenix Suns fans will flock to the US Airways Center Wednesday night as the team plays its first preseason game against the Atlanta Hawks without All-Star Amare Stoudemire.

Stoudemire will miss the first four preseason games. He suffered a torn iris a week ago.

On Tuesday, the new-look Suns were getting ready for the game by working on their defense.

Head coach Terry Porter says he will play 10 to 11 players and the starters will be Steve Nash, Raja Bell, Grant Hill, Boris Diaw and the big man, Shaquille O'Neal.
