Davis to pitch despite cancer diagnosis
07:58 AM Mountain Standard Time on Thursday, April 3, 2008
Despite being diagnosed with thyroid cancer last week, Doug Davis is committed to staying in the D-backs' starting rotation until his operation. And even after the procedure, he's not planning on staying out of the game for long.
Davis makes his first start of the season today when the Diamondbacks wrap up a three-game series against the Reds.
