PHOENIX - We are honoring Pinnacle High School senior Lindsey LaPorte.

Lindsey is a three time varsity letter winner in swimming with the chance to add a fourth this year.

Outside of her duties as team captain of the swim team, Lindsey is actively involved in her church and Amnesty International.

For the past two years she has served in the special needs ministry at Highlands Church.

Outside of the pool some of Lindsey’s activities still revolve around swimming as one of two swimming representatives to Arizona Swimming and as a participant in the swim club activity for Blankets for Babies.

She does all of this while maintaining a 4.694 weighted GPA.

When asked who her hero was she said Josephine March.

“Her character in Little Women shows strong conviction and independence,” she said. “She is loyal to her family and loves her sisters dearly.”

She is looking at attending the University of Louisville, University of Missouri or the University of Wisconsin.
