PHOENIX - Red Mountain kicked off the high school title weekend taking home the 5A-I softball title with a 5-4 win over Basha.
Then on Saturday night Mountain Pointe beat Hamilton for the 5A-I baseball title, 7-6 in the 8th inning.
In 5A-II Deer Valley won on the girls side and Chaparral defeated surprise 12th seed Perry for the boys title.
In 4A-I Saguaro beat Sunrise Mountain for the baseball title. In softball Canyon del Oro beat Cienega 11-1 in 5 innings.
Catalina beat Thunderbird 8-4 in 9 innings for the 4A-II baseball title. For the ladies, Sahuarita beat Liberty 10-6.
3A Blue Ridge topped Estrella Foothills 8-6 in 9 innings in baseball. In softball Estrella Foothills upset Winslow 7-5 for the title.
Valley Christian beat Scottsdale Christian 8-7 for the 2A baseball title. Benson won the softball title.
In 1A baseball Tanque Verde won.
