CHANDLER, Ariz. - High school football and soccer recruits from around the country signed their letter of intent to play at the collegiate level.
National Letter of Intent Day is an important day not only for the players committing to universities and collages, but also their parents who have supported their student athletes through the years.
Many of Arizona's football recruits from the area gathered at a signing day event at Marjerle's in Chandler.
This year the state produced top talent along the offensive line with ESPN No. 2 offensive tackle Christian Western signing with current National Champions Auburn Tigers.
Arizona State lost out on guard Todd Peat Jr. from Corona del Sol who signed with Nebraska and Canyon del Oro's Ka'Deem Carey.
Other top prospects are also heading out of state as Cyrus Hobbi signed with USC and Tyler Johnstone and Andre Yruretagoyena are heading to Oregon.
