NCAA Football 14, EA Sports wildly popular annual game, is due out next month, and slowly but surely, info is starting to leak.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that EA has an interesting way of charting team defense. Now, some top players for each of the 124 teams are being seen.
DT Will Sutton - 93 overall rating
LG/RT Jamil Douglas - 89
QB Taylor Kelly - 89
C Kody Koebensky - 86
DT Mike Pennel (sigh...) - 85
DE Davon Coleman - 85
QB Michael Eubank - 85
DE Junior Onyeali - 83
LB Chris Young - 83
TE Chris Coyle - 83
For those who didn't see any of last season, Pennel played just a few games for ASU, was ineffective when he did play, and wassuspended for most of the year before being booted from the team months ago.
Some quick thoughts:
- Alden Darby should be a top six or seven player.
- Marion Grice and his 18 total touchdowns are nowhere to be found, nor is DJ Foster's gamebreaking ability.
- Really? No Carl Bradford, his 11.5 sacks in 2012, nor his otherworldly athleticism? You don't want to make him angry, EA.
- Curious about Koebensky's listing and not left tackle Evan Finkenberg. Ah well...
