TEMPE, Ariz.-- For Arizona State, the Pac-12 tournament is either going to make or break the Sun Devil’s season.

“It’s win or go home.”  Pac-12 Freshman of the year Jahii Carson said. “I’m going to do as much as I can to stay in this fight and win.”

For the Sun Devils, the PAC-12 tournament could not come at a worse time. The team is riding their longest losing streak of the season with four consecutive defeats. However, heading into Las Vegas the Sun Devils have a completely different outlook.

“We have a different mental state now.”  Carson added.  “Guys are more serious and starting to step up individually now.  We got to win or go home.”

“I think we are going to be ready.” Senior Carrick Felix stated. “It is a whole new season right now during tournament time and its March, anything can happen.”

For head coach Herb Sendek, he likes his team demeanor heading into the Pac-12 Tournament.

“Guys are excited and looking forward to playing.” Sendek declared. “They know that the tournament is going to be very competitive and we are going to have to be at a very high level against a Stanford team that is very difficult to match up with.  But our guys are energized and excited about playing.”

For the Sun Devils, the thought of running the table is not an impossible feat, as the team is using the journey of the 2011 Connecticut Huskies triumphant National Championship run as motivation.

“We’re looking at the Connecticut team that had Kemba Walker and how they were 11th in the Big East and overcame that and were able to win a national championship.” Carson added. “That’s just something that inspires us and we look at that and have faith.”

The Sun Devil’s will tip off the Pac-12 tournament Wednesday at noon against Stanford.
