TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Arizona State freshman quarterback Brock Osweiler will start Saturday night's game at No. 14 Oregon.

Osweiler is from Kalispell, Mont., and played at Flathead High last year.

Sun Devils coach Dennis Erickson named the 6-foot-8 Osweiler as the starter Wednesday for injured senior Danny Sullivan.

Osweiler replaced Sullivan for the second half of last Saturday's 14-9 loss to No. 9 Southern California. He's 19-of-45 for 235 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in five games.

Osweiler is only the fourth true freshmen to start a game at quarterback in Arizona State's football history.
