TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Two days after being booed mercilessly by his own fans, Arizona State quarterback Danny Sullivan got a vote of confidence from coach Dennis Erickson on Monday.

Erickson said Sullivan would start when the Sun Devils (2-2, 0-1 Pac-10) visit last-place Washington State (1-4, 0-3) on Saturday.

Along with booing Sullivan, ASU fans chanted freshman Brock Osweiler's name during a 28-17 loss to Oregon State last weekend. Erickson said Osweiler may play for a series or two at Pullman.

Sullivan ranks 10th in Pac-10 passing efficiency. He has completed 50.7 percent of his passes and has three touchdown passes and two interceptions.
