SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- When it comes to spring training in the Valley of the Sun, icy practice fields are the last thing you would expect, but that's exactly what has happened at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick.

3TV's Javier Soto talked to Diamondbacks spokesman Josh Rawitch about what the team will do today.

As Soto explained, Mother Nature "sent a shot to right field, center field, left field and infield, for that matter."

The Diamondbacks have delayed practice until noon. In the meantime, ground crews will work to de-ice the fields.

Cactus League play starts Friday.
