PHOENIX -- The Arizona Diamondbacks have declined infielder Chad Tracy's $7 million option, meaning he'll get a $1 million buyout.
The 29-year-old now becomes eligible for free agency.
Tracy was taken in the seventh round of 2001 amateur draft.
He batted .237 in 71 games this year, but spent all of June on the disabled list. He hit .280 over parts of six seasons.
