PHOENIX -- As the spring training season is at a fever pitch in the Valley, residents, tourists and sports enthusiasts alike are gearing up for Baseball City - the largest and only interactive spring training event in the country.

Baseball City, designed to redefine FanFests for the baseball industry, takes place Saturday, March 15 and Sunday, March 16 at the Phoenix Convention Center.

Over 60,000 square feet of the Convention Center will morph into a field of dreams for enthusiasts of all ages. Fans will experience what it's like to 'hit it out of the park' at the Home Run Derby field before they head over to learn how to throw a world class fastball just like the pros at the Speed Pitch stations.

Participants will experience a one-of-a-kind FanFest with training clinics and meet and greets from current and former All-Star players.

The event is expected to draw large crowds from across the country, who will have direct access to some of the biggest stars of baseball's past and present such as Hall of Famer Andre Dawson, perennial All-Star Steve Garvey, and White Sox slugger Adam Dunn.

All-Star Baseball players such as former Seattle Mariners third baseman Edgar Martinez, Martin Prado and Aaron Hill from the Arizona Diamondbacks, Chicago White Sox power hitter Adam Dunn, Jose Canseco and more will be leading clinics for kids and signing autographs for fans.

Kansas City Royals star, Billy Butler, and San Francisco Giants hurler, Ryan Vogelsong, are among the many other stars scheduled to attend.

Tickets are $12 online or $15 at the door. Tickets for kids 7-11 are $7 online or $10 at the door. Tickets for kids 6 and younger are $5, free if they're wearing a baseball uniform or apparel. Admission is free for kids 2 and younger.

Parking is $5 at the Jefferson Street Garage

A portion of each ticket sold will be donated to Make-a-Wish Arizona.
