Power failure suspends Pacific-Northern Arizona

FLAGSTAFF -- An outage that left 1,300 homes in west Flagstaff without power caused the suspension of the Pacific-Northern Arizona game Thursday night.

Northern Arizona was leading 45-43 with 8:52 remaining and was on a 15-2 run.

The lights suddenly went out in a middle of a possession, causing play to be stopped. After nearly 45 minutes of deliberaton,
the game was suspended.

Officials briefly considered moving the game to a local high school, but that plan was rejected. The game can't be made up
Friday because Pacific was planning to leave Flagstaff at 5:30 a.m.
