TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Arizona Cardinals’ 2013 season will get under way in St. Louis.
The NFL released the full schedule for the upcoming season on Thursday, with the Cardinals kicking things off Sept. 8 against the Rams.
The Cardinals will host their home opener the following Sunday when Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson, and the Detroit Lions come to town.
While the Cardinals don’t play any Sunday or Monday night games in 2013, they will host the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday, Oct. 17 in a game that will be televised nationally on the NFL Network.
Seven of the Cardinals’ 16 games will be against playoff teams from last season, including four teams who won their division in 2012.
Four of the Cardinals first six games will be played on the road, but the toughest stretch of the schedule will likely be from Week 6 to Week 10.
Week 6 has the Cardinals traveling to the San Francisco 49ers. They will then return home in weeks 7 and 8 for games against Seattle and the Atlanta Falcons.
The Cardinals have a bye in Week 9, but will then host the Houston Texans in Week 10.
The Cardinals will finish their season with a trip to Seattle on Dec. 22 followed by a home game on Dec. 29 against the 49ers.

While the start of the NFL season remains a few months off, there’s still plenty of football news to get excited about.
The 2013 NFL Draft begins next Thursday, April 25 at 8 p.m. Eastern. The Cardinals will have the seventh overall pick.
