TEMPE – The Baltimore Ravens bolstered their wide receiving corps by obtaining Anquan Boldin from the Arizona Cardinals for two draft picks.

Boldin, 29, caught 84 passes for 1,024 yards and two touchdowns last season. He is a welcome addition to a team that set a priority this offseason of getting quarterback Joe Flacco a few high-profile targets.

The Ravens last month added free agent Donte' Stallworth.

Although Boldin has had difficulty staying healthy throughout his pro career, he has amassed at least 1,000 yards receiving in five of his seven seasons.

The three-time Pro Bowl star joins Stallworth as a bona fide deep threat for a team that last season was led in receptions by running back Ray Rice.

The following is a press release from the Arizona Cardinals on the trade:

The Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced that the team has traded wide receiver ANQUAN BOLDIN and its fifth-round selection in this year’s draft to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for Baltimore’s third-round and fourth-round selections in the 2010 NFL Draft.

Boldin (6-1, 217) has spent the past seven seasons with the Cardinals after joining the team as a second-round selection (54th overall) in the 2003 NFL Draft out of Florida State. A three-time Pro Bowl selection (2003, 2006, 2008), Boldin leaves the Cardinals with 586 catches for 7,520 yards (12.8 yard avg.) and 44 touchdowns in 95 regular season games (92 starts).

His 586 receptions rank first in team history, his 7,520 receiving yards are good for third place on the franchise’s all-time receiving yardage list and his 44 touchdowns are good for fifth in team history.
