We take pride in the fact that managing the TRICARE program for over 2.8 million beneficiaries is our only line of business. For us, serving as a TRICARE contractor is just the beginning.

Every member of the TriWest team is dedicated to our customers —and committed to providing access to high-quality health care and customer service to every TRICARE beneficiary in our region.

Our Company

TriWest Healthcare Alliance is a privately held company based in Phoenix and contracted by the Department of Defense (DoD) to administer the TRICARE program in the 21-state West Region.

TRICARE is cost-effective, high-quality health care available to our nation's active and retired uniformed services members and their families. TriWest received its first DoD TRICARE contract in 1996, then received a four-year contract extension in 2002. TriWest was awarded a five-year contract to administer TRICARE in the West Region in 2003, and now provides access to health care for approximately 2.8 million beneficiaries.
