PRESCOTT VALLEY -- A woman wanted for credit card fraud and ID theft was arrested Friday after a family member recognized her on the news and called Prescott Valley police.

According to Sgt. Brandon Bonney, the reporting person told police that he saw his relative on a TV newscast and learned that she was being sought by the Gilbert Police Department for several crimes.

Prescott Valley police officers were able to catch up to Delores Rakow, 40, and took her into custody.

Bonney said during an interview with detectives, Rakow made incriminating statements about her involvement in the fraudulent use of a credit card in Prescott Valley as well as numerous other crimes in Maricopa County.

Rakow is suspected of making 47 fraudulent credit card charges in June.

Rakow was booked into the Yavapai County Jail in Camp Verde for fraudulent use of a credit card, fraudulent schemes, and taking the identity of another.

Charges for her crimes in Maricopa County are not known at this time.
