PHOENIX (AP) -- A Sun City man accused of downloading and distributing child pornography has pleaded not guilty in the case.

Maricopa County prosecutors say 70-year-old Larry Jay Bennett entered his plea Friday. His next scheduled court date is Feb. 11.

Bennett was arrested Sunday at his Sun City home.

A grand jury indictment handed up on Dec. 16 accused Bennett of downloading and distributing nine exploitative images and videos of minors between January 2009 and April 2011.

Court documents indicate that the U.S. Postal Inspection Service spearheaded the investigation that led to Bennett's arrest.

Bennett was booked into a downtown Phoenix jail and his bail was set at $150,000.

He was being held on suspicion of nine counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. It's unclear if Bennett has a lawyer yet.
