PHOENIX (AP) -- For the third time in six days, a big rig crash closed part of Interstate 10 in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say a semi-truck overturned Tuesday afternoon on I-10 near the Riggs Road exit south of Chandler.
A westbound lane of I-10 was closed for about two hours, snarling traffic until being reopened.
DPS says about 20 gallons of spilled fuel from the rollover had to be cleaned up. The big rig's driver escaped injury.
Last Wednesday morning, a semi-truck hauling mulch rolled over on I-10 near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport at the I-17 junction in Phoenix.
On Thursday morning, the driver of a big rig was killed when his semi-truck crashed into a barrier on Interstate 10 in Tempe and caught fire.
