CHANDLER -- Chandler police are asking for the public's help locating a hit-and-run driver.

Police are looking for the driver of a white SUV involved in a hit-and-run that injured a man in the parking lot of the Draft House Sports Café near Arizona Avenue and Warner Road at approximately 1:30 a.m. Friday.

Police say the suspect was kicked out of the bar. He then got into his SUV, drove over a curb and into a small wall where the victim was sitting.

According to Sgt. Joe Favazzo, the victim's friend then attacked the suspect and may have punched out the driver's side window.

The victim remains in stable condition in a local hospital.

The driver is described as a black male, 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall, about 300 pounds, with a pencil-thin beard. He was last seen wearing a dark blue or black sports baseball cap, dark shirt and jeans.

Favazzo said the man is a frequent customer of the bar and may go by the nickname "Bishop."

The suspect vehicle is described as a 2003 or 2004 pearl white Dodge Durango with dark tinted windows and 22-inch chrome rims with thin wall tires. The bottom of the vehicle is accented with a chrome strip. The vehicle has a broken front driver's side window and damage to the right front tire and rim from striking a curb and the block wall.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Chandler Police Department at 480-782-4130.
