PHOENIX – A man is being treated after being pulled from a canal in Phoenix.

A Phoenix Fire spokesperson tells 3TV the male driver somehow drove his truck into the canal.

The 25-year-old man then crawled out of the vehicle while it was being swept southbound and managed to stand on the back of the truck.

The man was complaining of shortness of breath and was reportedly experiencing chest pains.

The Phoenix Fire spokesperson says the man’s wife was driving behind him and saw the entire incident. She was the person who called 911.

Further details on this water rescue will be provided as they become available.
