GLENDALE, Ariz. -- After a fire ripped through a Glendale mobile home park, 11 people are now without a place to live.

It happened Saturday, just after 8:30 a.m. near 67th Ave. and Butler Road.

When crews arrived, one unit at the Orange Grove Mobile Home Park was fully engulfed in flames.

"At first, there were reports of two children trapped," said Deputy Chief Elio Pompa with the Glendale Fire Department.  "Fortunately, they got the all clear, then they just focused on the firefight."

But firefighters had their work cut out. Flames quickly spread to some nearby palm trees and a second mobile home. The heat also posed an issue for crews. Extra firefighters were brought in so crews could rotate. Eight engines in all responded to the scene.

Pompa said both homes appear to be a total loss. Seven people were living in the first home that caught fire, and four people lived in the second. The American Red Cross is helping them out.

No one was hurt. Investigators say the cause of the fire is under investigation.
