PHOENIX – The FBI is asking for the public’s help identifying “The First Aid Bandit,” who has allegedly robbed four Arizona banks since October 1.
In all four robberies the man walked up to the teller with a handgun and demanded money, then left the scene on foot, according to the FBI’s Bank Robbery Task Force.
The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, mid-30s, 5-feet-8-inches tall, 180 pounds, medium build, a black mustache (possibly fake), black hair and acne or burn scars. In most of the robberies he appeared to have cuts or scars on his nose and on the left and right side of his face. In all four robberies he wore a gauze bandage on different areas of his face, sometimes with blood seeping through. It is possible the cuts and scars are not real.

10/31/09, Wells Fargo Bank, 5151 N. 44th St., Phoenix
11/07/09, Bank of America, 4343 E. Broadway Rd., Mesa
11/17/09, Desert Schools Federal Credit Union, 8220 Via Paseo Del Norte, Scottsdale
Desert Schools Federal Credit Union is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to the conviction of the person responsible for the robbery at its Scottsdale branch.
