Dozens of pot plants found growing inside Surprise home

SURPRISE – More than 50 marijuana plants were seized from a house in Surprise.

Police were called to the 15100 block of West Hope Street at around 12:30 a.m. on Friday for a domestic violence incident.

Officers saw pot plants were being grown in a bedroom once they arrived at the scene. A search warrant was served and detectives discovered over 50 marijuana plants in various stages of growth. Officers also found a lighting system and a temperature control system in the home.

Christopher Petruzzelli, 38, was arrested and faces charges of production of marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and domestic violence.
