GLENDALE, Ariz. -- You don’t have to be rich or famous to attend next year’s Super Bowl.

Deal Diva Alicia Markham said there are ways to increase your chances of securing tickets for Super Bowl XLIX, which will be held at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.

Markham said the NFL sets aside 500 tickets for an annual lottery and fans can enter by mailing the league a letter with their name and address.

"If you are lucky and you win the lottery, you’re going to be able to buy two tickets at face value," she explained.

Winners have their choice of seating sections, and they don’t have to deal with resellers or scalpers.

"If you were going to buy it from a scalper, you’d pay double, triple, quadruple or more," Markham said.

There is also a separate lottery for people with disabilities.

"Only one person has to need that wheelchair seat," Markham said, "and then they can bring any companion that they’d like."

She said Arizona Cardinals season ticket holders also have better odds. The NFL saves 5 percent of the seats for those ticket holders, and that number will increase if the team makes it to the big game.

Online contests are another option.

"I had the opportunity to go when I was 15," Markham said. "I actually won an essay contest when they were here in ’95. So be aware for these little contests that go on, that not very many enter."

If you do purchase ticket through an outside broker or scalper, be careful, Markham warns.

"You want to make sure that your tickets are legitimate," she said. "The NFL actually has a really good website that they give you things to look for."

Even if you can’t get into the game, you can still get in on the Super Bowl Sunday fun.

"They have the Super Bowl parties ahead of time," Markham said. "They have NFL Experience things going on. There’re so many things going on for football fans."
