PHOENIX -- After a thorough search of the three Superior Court buildings by the Phoenix Police Department, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, the US Marshall's Office and the ASU Police Department, an "all clear" has been given and people are being allowed back inside.

Emergency crews were called in to investigate after a bomb threat was called in to the Superior Court buildings in downtown Phoenix at approximately 10 a.m. Wednesday.

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office bomb squad and other units were on scene, according to MCSO spokesman Detective Aaron Douglas.

The East, West and Central Court buildings were evacuated. Those employees have since been allowed to return to work.

K-9 units were being used as officials had to clear all three buildings floor by floor.

Litigants with hearings scheduled for today are being asked to contact assigned divisions to see whether their hearings will be held today or reset.

Jurors are being directed to contact the divisions to see if they need to come back to the Court. If jurors have not been assigned to a division, or if they are not able to get in contact with a division, they are being directed to call the jury office.
