PHOENIX -- If you're looking to do some remodeling, Stardust Building Supplies is the place to go.
Whether it's a major or minor project, this is the place where you'll find your materials. Doors, windows, cabinets, toilets, sinks, appliances, paint, light fixtures, flooring -- you name it they have it.
You can find all the items for 50 percent to 80 percent off the retail value. The reason? Well, everything in the store is slightly used.
How does it work? Well, Stardust goes to job sites where remodeling is being done and they take out things owners don't want anymore.
And not only do you get a good deal, some of the money you spend there is also put to good use.
The organization takes donated building materials and saves them from the landfill and makes them available to the public.
The company uses the profits from the stores as well as some of the materials that are donated for its community service Angels on Call, which is a home repair service for low-income homeowners.
Shoppers we caught up with say this is their favorite bargain stop when it comes time for home repairs.
Stardust Building Supplies has two locations: in Phoenix just off of 43rd Avenue and Camelback Road and in Mesa off of Broadway and Price roads. If you're interested in bargain shopping or in need of their deconstruction services and want to donate to them, visit www.stardustbuilding.org.
