Katrina, predicted?

We've heard a lot about hurricane predictions and how ready New Orleans was for a big disaster. There were warnings of all sorts, including one from the stars.

Louis Turi is no weatherman, but he does call himself a scientist. From his modest home in Phoenix he provides predictions on topics from natural disasters to personal love lives.

"I am not a psychic," Turi said. "I don't deny there is such thing as psychics, but I'm a scientist. I'm real, I'm solid. All my predictions are well documented in my book, on television, on radio and it's logic."

Turi is referring to his book, Moon Power 2005, which contains predictions for nearly every day of the year. Published a year ago, the entry for August 29 says, "Large quakes and natural forces may compel thousands of victims to relocate to build a new life." That was the day Katrina came ashore.

He uses what he calls Dragon Astrology, which was developed by Nostradamus. It incorporates traditional planetary astrology and patterns of energy demonstrated on earth time and time again.

"The reason why I knew it was going to be a dramatic time for the world is because previously I saw the same energy that produced hurricane Andrew, the tsunami in Asia, the 9/11 attacks. Every major disaster tends to happen under specific celestial energy and I know when," said Turi.

Turi desperately wants widespread acceptance of his methods. He has spent 35 years perfecting his techniques and says it is time the authorities took notice. "If NASA or the US Geological Survey were willing to cast aside the fear of ridicule, then I would know the activity of the [earthquake fault lines]. They will tell you where but they don't know when. I know when, I don't know where. This is why it's important to connect together and work to find a precise way to save people's lives," he said.

He then gave us key words to watch for in the days to come and says the news may come as much as 24 hours before or after the date given, but he is sure you'll hear the following:

Sept. 8; Terrorism, police, serious dramatic news of death.

Sept. 17; Serious unrest in the Middle East (Oil / Oceans), Natalee Holloway incident.

Sept. 26; Thousands of people forced to be relocated again because of nature's awful forces. (Katrina / Tsunami / Large earthquake / Tornadoes / Typhoon)

Also look for the same powerful forces on specific days in 2006: January 14, May 13, August 9 and September 7.

Turi may have his head in the stars, but his feet are firmly planted on the ground. He acknowledges that a large chunk of the public believes his abilities are nothing more than chance or educated guesses.

"People have the right to be skeptical-- they can only judge me because of their education, because of their intelligence because of their experiences. Just check me out, get my book. Check me out, do your homework. I'm real," he said.
