Don't forget Mom on May 12th and that will get here quickly now, so here are a few ideas, categorized by theme to help you brainstorm what to get this very special gal that is called Mom.

Hard to Shop For/Lives Far Away
*For the woman who seems to have everything and/or lives miles away, making the gift giving process that much harder, check out Yiftee.  Better than a generic bouquet of flowers, Yiftee lets you send thoughtful, real gifts to mom quickly and easily via email, mobile and social networks. Yiftee gifts are thoughtful items like a manicure, accessories, Mom's favorite latte and other local treats and services that are available in her town and are things that she enjoys.  What I love about Yiftee is that mom redeems her gift cared right from her smart phone or tablet. Here’s how it works: On your smart phone or web you choose a gift at a local merchant, specify your mom as the recipient, and pay for the gift. You will be required to pay a service fee.  I paid $1.37 when I sent a gift card through Yiftee.  Your mom immediately gets the gift notice via Facebook, email, and/or text, along with a single use digital credit card and gift/merchant description. Your mom takes her phone to the merchant, shows the digital credit card, and gets her gift!  I recently received one to our favorite yogurt place and it was super easy to redeem and enjoy.  To get a Mom a Yiftee that can be used for all sorts of gifts, visit http://yiftee.com/.

For the Sentimental Soul
*Francesca's Collections is a unique boutique located at 7131 W. Ray Rd., close to the I10 in Chandler in the Casa Paloma Shopping Center.  Mother's Day gift ideas are aplenty here and I especially like their sentimental gifts that include a cool frame that is adorned with words that say, "I Love That You're My Mom" ($24) and a simple square box frame that says, "If I Didn't Have You As A Mom, I'd Choose You As a Friend" and that treasure goes for $12.  Another unique idea is a little orange book called "My Mom Her Stories. Her Words" and this little book is filled with questions to ask Mom so she can fill in the answers and the little book becomes a treasured keepsake.  Some of the questions include "Who were your favorite relatives and what made them special?" or a funny one that asks, "What was the worst mischief you got in when you were younger?" and this clever little book costs $10.95.  Francesca's also has great jewelry, including a gold bangle with rhinestones bracelet that looks identical to a much more expensive version at Nordstrom's.  Francesca's bracelet sells for only $18.

Celebrity Inspired
Two big celebs have lines out that Mom is sure to like.  Taylor Swift has teamed up with Keds and is offering nine styles in the Taylor Swift for Keds Collection.  She has polka dotted styles, a nautical anchor theme, pretty rose patterns and more.  Keds are so great in warm weather because they are comfortable and look good with a Capri pant and casual fun dresses, too.  Taylor's collection sell for $50 at www.keds.com.
I have shown the Jennifer Lopez clothing line in my fashion segments and she has also has great Mother's Day gift items that all sell at Kohl's.  Watch the segment to see the beautiful Jennifer Lopez Rose Gold Tone Simulated Cat’s-Eye Cabochon Oval Ring that sells for $28 or the Make Your Move Enamel Round Sunglasses by J Lo that goes for $34.  I also showed the pretty J Lo Animal Fusion Scarf that sells for $38.00.  All of these items sell at Kohl's and be sure to join Kohl's email list to get frequent coupons that make the price even more affordable.  For more information visit www.kohls.com.

For the Healthy Mama
*T-Fal Balanced Living Juice Extractor ($79.99 at www.t-falusa.com and retailers nationwide)  This cool kitchen tool guarantees a quick and easy way to make healthy fruit and vegetable juices in just a matter of minutes with two speeds and a whole fruit feeding tube.  The juicer features an anti-drip spout, stainless steel filter and 1.25 liter pitcher, which are all dishwasher safe, for fast and easy clean up.  With a 3 liter integrated pulp container and variable speeds, Mom can make any kind of juice, just the way she likes it.
And to make this a great presentation, pair the T-Fal Balanced Living Juice Extractor with a basket of fresh fruit and veggies, along with some other great kitchen tools like the IMUSA Bamboo 3pc Utensil Set that is sold at Target for $3.99.

For the Deserves to Unwine Mom
*Yes, I misspelled "unwind" on purpose.  I have shown the lovely Lolita hand-painted wine glasses before and I'm showing them again, but this time you can pair the glass with Lolita's new line of yummy Italian wines!  Designs by Lolita has added wine to their collection.  I recommend giving Mom the Lolita Love My Wine Wildflowers glass paired with the Lolita Ravishing Red Italian Primitivo wine or the pretty Lolita "Love You, Mom" glass with the Lolita Witty White Italian Falanghina white vino.  She might also like the pretty in pink Lolita Winter Sparkling Italian Aglianico.  The wines come in two different sizes and range in price from $11.99 for the smaller bottle of the red and white wine varieties to $19.99 for the larger sized bottle.  The Lolita Winter Sparkling sells for $12.99 for the smaller bottle and only $21.99 for the larger bottle.  To order the wine, visit http://Gasbarros.com  and click the Lolita tab that appears on the top of the page.  Both of the wine glasses, that come hand-painted and with unique cocktail recipes on the stem each sell for $24 at www.designsbylolita.com

For the Charitable Mom
For the giving type of Mom, consider the Prosperity Candle that is a line of beautiful handmade candles manufactured by female entrepreneurs in and from distressed regions of the globe.  They have several varieties and I showed the Franjipani tea tin in the segment.  Artisans in Kashmir skillfully hand painted the tins which attractively hold the soy blend candle.  The Franjipani tea tin comes in three colors in unique tea scents. Once the candle inside is finished, your tin can be cleaned and re-used as a beautiful storage tin.  Prosperity Candles work with women who are from distressed parts of the world and they have survived conflict or natural disaster. They are now rebuilding their lives. They come from places that include Burma, Haiti, Rwanda, Iraq and Afghanistan. These women make our beautiful candles and other gifts.
Each candle sold helps give them more security and income. The money they earn through Prosperity Candle helps them invest in education, health care and food for their children.  So this is truly a gift that gives back and Mom can even connect with the woman who made the candle.  The website has a connect page where you can read her bio, see her picture and send her a message directly. This is such a cool gift that gives back.  For more information and to order the candles visit www.prosperitycandle.com

To Pamper Mom
Here is a great value!  Backstage Salon & Spa in Tempe has quite the Mother's Day package deals.    For $100, Mom gets a shampoo, blow dry & style plus a gel mani or pedi or facial waxing for two areas plus 1-hour massage.  For $140, Mom gets a shampoo, deep conditioning treatment blow dry & style plus a gel mani and gel pedi and a 90 minute massage.  Both packages are a great value!  To purchase packages call 480-838-3136.

Make Mom a Deserves To Be Pampered basket filled with Mom's favorite magazines and a luxurious gift box set from LUSH.  I recommend the LUSH gift box that is called "A Mother's Day In Paradise" and is loaded with items that include the Secret Garden Bath Bomb, Madame Butterfly Reusable Bubble Bar, Dream Cream Body Lotion and more.  That one sells at www.lushusa.com or local LUSH stores for $56.95.  Another great option is the LUSH Lovely Gift that sells for $29.95 and is gift-wrapped in pretty pink floral wrap with goodies inside that include the Secret Garden Bath Bomb, Ro's Argan Body Conditioner and more.
Top the basket off with lovely lip gloss from the Jane Iredale PureGloss line ($24 at www.janeiredale.com).  Most lip gloss brands are made with petroleum based products, which are not natural. And since a woman who wears lip products daily will eat two tubes of it a year, Jane's ingredients are a better choice.  Her formula has a base of organic oils including Moringa Butter, Lotus Flower Wax and Orange Peel Wax. Blackberry and Pomegranate Extracts provide a pleasant flavor and protect lips with antioxidants Vitamins C and E.

For The Traveling Mom
For an attractive and unique travel kit, give her the Suki Deluxe Nourishing Travel Kit ($41.95, sukiskincare.com).  The cool bamboo case is packed with Suki's best selling products that include the Moisture Rich Cleansing Lotion, Concentrated Nourishing Toner, Intensive Brightening Cream and Intensive Brightening Masque.
