Another new year brings a fresh batch of new beauty products, so I talked with Walgreens beauty expert, Bianca (also a writer on my managedmoms.com website) about what’s new in the beauty aisle.  There are so many cool new products that we had a hard time narrowing it down, but here are our faves:

From L’Oreal
*L’Oreal New Everstyle Texture Series Beach Spray -- $6.99 at Walgreens – For sexy waves in your hair, Bianca says to try this product that is alcohol free and gives hair a tousled texture.

*L’Oreal Colour Riche Eye Shadow -- $7.99 at Walgreens – Each compact comes with four different shades along with instructions on the back on how to color, brighten, contour and define each shade on the eye lids.

From Maybelline
*Maybelline Volume Express The Rocket Mascara -- $7.49 at Walgreens – This new formula gives lashes 8 times the volume with zero clumps and it is safe for gals who wear contact lenses.  Bianca says that she especially loves the supersonic brush that this mascara sports.

*Maybelline Color Whisper Lip Sticks -- $7.49 at Walgreens – 20 new shades debut with Maybelline’s Color Whisper line and it has a nice light application and stays on well for the first few hours.  After that, it does fade a bit, but it fades evenly and I still liked how my lips looked, so I give this new line from Maybelline a thumbs up.

From Revlon
*Revlon Luxurious Color Silk Hair Color -- $6.49 at Walgreens - Revlon introduces a new at home hair color that is called Luxurious Colorsilk Buttercream and contains three butters that include mango, shea and coconut butters.  I have never tried any type of color on my hair, so I wouldn’t know the difference, but Bianca tells me that this new color line by Revlon gives a rich color with ultimate shine.

*Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation -- $9.99 at Walgreens – With an SPF of 20, this lightweight new base by Revlon lets you control your buildable coverage.  As our desert climate heats up come spring and summer, this is a nice light foundation to try.

*Revlon Girly Pink Confetti Glitter Shade -- $5.49 at Walgreens – Revlon has several unique new nail polish shades, including this one that goes on with glitter in the polish mix.  Fun for sure!
From the Yes To Line
*Yes To Grapefruit Dark Circle Correcting Eye Cream -- $15.49 at Walgreens – Yes To adds grapefruit products this year and this eye cream is paraben free and contains licorice root to lighten dark circles.  Plus a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this line goes to a campaign called “yes to seed friend” which feeds thousands of children by planting school gardens in the US and in Africa. You can learn more about this program that helps kids at www.yestocarrots.com.

From Vichy
*Vichy Destock Ventre Stomach Pro-Firming Natural Peptides -- $36.50 at Walgreens – Bianca tells me that this new product is flying off the shelves because customers are excited that the pure caffeine and peptides in this product can result in a firmer and more refined tummy in a month’s time.  The line also offers products for other body areas, too.

From Cover Girl
*Cover Girl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Polish Shades -- $5.99 at Walgreens -- Cover Girl has also added a new nail polish formula that combines a base coat, high gloss color, and a chip-resistant top coat all in one step.  And this formula comes in 45 shades.

From Boots Line
*Boots No7 Beautiful Skin T-Zone Rescue -- $14.99 at Target and at www.ShopBootsUSA.com – This oil-free gel instantly minimizes the appearance of pores in the T-zone area that runs down the forehead and down the center of the face, which includes the nose and the chin.   These areas are prone to capturing oil, even in normal skin, so the Boots No7 Beautiful Skin T-Zone Rescue targets those problem areas and works to control shine all day long.  Two key ingredients, zinc and witch hazel, work together to banish excess shine and control oil production.  For best results, apply a thin layer to the nose and forehead after cleansing and before applying makeup.

So that is just a sample of what’s new out there in 2013 beauty products!  There is a lot more on the shelves, so if we missed one of your new favorites, share here in the comments section.  And remember to check out my website at www.managedmoms.com for more beauty news, recipes and more!  Happy 2013!  I’m wishing you a beautiful year!
