Stuff The Stockings With These Ideas!
Don't forget the stocking stuffers while you are out doing your holiday shopping. Here are some fun and unique ideas I found for everyone in the family, including our furry family members, too. Take a look...
Christmas Eve By the Stockings Fun for Kids:
*Reindeer Food ($2.49 at Hallmark stores) -- Kids will love including Reindeer food with Santa's milk and cookies. These red, green and white pellets are actually chocolate covered sunflower seeds. So cute!
*Santa Is Coming To Arizona book written by Steve Smallman ($9.99 at Hallmark stores) -- Another perfect complement to Christmas Eve, give the kids this cool book that describes Santa's sleigh landing on Phoenix City Hall, flying through the Grand Canyon State and making stops everywhere between Yuma to Tucson to Phoenix to Chandler and more. Lots of fun landmarks mentioned that Arizona children will delight in hearing about as they read this bedtime story and then head to bed.
For the Gals:
*EcoLips Create Your Own Lip Balm (prices start at $2.99 at My.Ecolips.com) -- This is the perfect stocking stuffer because you can custom-make the perfect lip balm for mom, grandma, your daughter (really guys, too) and then you can customize the label, too. I made several for my girl that are labeled Lexi's Lovely Lip Balm. And she is always asking me for lip balm because we live in such a dry climate, so this is a perfect stocking stuffer. Plus the company uses the high quality certified organic and fair trade lip care ingredients. It is fun to build your own lip balm with Ecolips large selection of herbal extracts, natural flavors, and specialty oils. Prices start at $2.99 and I custom designed three balms with pretty and unique packaging for $20.22.
*Wet n Wild Fergie Nail Color Collection ($3.49 at drug stores) --- Give her the nail polish that was created by rock star Fergie in partnership with Wet n Wild. Several of the glitzy holiday colors that sparkle, sport fun names like Rock n Roll, No Place Like Home and Make Them Boys Go Loco. Watch the segment to see the colors.
I also like the Wet n Wild Fast Dry because the polish dries quickly and types are named after favorite TV shows. Some of the shades include Silvivor, Party of Five Glitters and Hannah Pinktana, just to name a few.
And for New Years Eve sparkle, throw in a Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio in shades like Spoiled Brat that comes in a case that shows where the eyelid, crease and brow bone colors go on the eyelid. The price is also good since they sell for under $3 at drug stores.
*Bandtz Bands (prices start at $8 at www.bandtz.com) -- Pretty hair ties that can be worn as a bracelet so when a girl or a woman needs a hair tie, the stylish Bandtz can be taken right off her wrist. Styles include girlish bows and lovely lace ties made out of lingerie for women.
*You Had me at Meow (or Woof) small decor signs ($8.99 at Millie's Hallmark store on Elliot & I10 in Ahwatukee) -- this is perfect for a pet lover's stocking. This could work for the guys, too.
* Customized Leather Charm Bracelet ($29.95 at www.hopepaige.com) that gives back - Hope Paige Medical ID Marketplace mixes fashion and style with function and purpose as one of the foremost designers of contemporary medical emergency bracelets and more. So this stocking stuffer works for any age and is a great statement bracelet or stacking accessory. The bracelet can be engraved with the wearer’s information and will stand out to medical personnel in case of an emergency, while also being festive and fashionable plus Hope Paige is giving back. The company has teamed up with celebrity Mayim Bialik to create a customized, stylish leather charm bracelet that will raise awareness for health illnesses. And every purchase of Mayim’s one-of-a-kind bracelet will donate 100% of profits from sales towards the Golisano Children's Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
*Fred Pumped Up Fashionable iPhone Stand ($8.99 at Bed, Bath & Beyond) -- A stand for our must have cell phones is helpful and this one, that looks like a pair of pumps, is fun for her to receive in her stocking.
*For the Adult Gal - Bailey's Chocolate Truffles ($8.99 at Bed, Bath & Beyond) -- My kind of stocking candy because it is chocolate truffles filled with Baileys. This is a good Mom stocking stuffer!
*Pearl Ribbons Bangle that gives back -- ($16 at http://www.tenthousandvillages.com/pearl-ribbons-bangle) These beautiful bracelets come from a fair trade, non-profit retail organization called Ten Thousand Villages which operates with the mission to create income-earning opportunities for artisans in developing countries by establishing a sustainable market for handmade products in North America. Each item has an extraordinary story behind it, and purchases from Ten Thousand Villages help provide fair trade artisans with opportunities to pay for food, education, healthcare, housing and more. The Pearl Ribbons Bangle is handmade in India from mother-of-pearl inlay.
*Goody Ouchless Holiday Ornament Four Count Ribbon Elastics (Sold at Target for $4.99) -- Goody's Ouchless hair bands are comfortable and snag-free, plus the elastics come inside an ornament, making it the perfect stocking stuffer.
*Christmas Tree Flashing Necklace ($5.99 at Hallmark stores) -- my daughter loves flashing jewelry like you see at the fair, so the Christmas tree necklace is perfect for a stocking gift.
*Ice Cream Magic Personal Ice Cream Maker ($9.99 at Walgreens) -- this As Seen On TV product makes ice cream in 3 minutes. I haven't personally tried it, but I've been told it really does work and the ice cream tastes good, too.

*Elf on the Shelf Elf's Story Hot Chocolate Variety Pack ($9.99 for a set of four at Bed, Bath & Beyond) -- Since Elf on the Shelf is all the rage this holiday season, these cocoas perfectly compliment the trend with choices that include Santa's Chocolate Cocoa, Snowflake's Caramel Cocoa, Chippey's Peppermint Cocoa and Kendyl and Caroline's Vanilla Cocoa. Since you receive four boxes, they can be split up and put into multiple stockings.

*Double Truffle or Creamy Carmel Hot Chocolate Cones for Two ($6.99 each at Hallmark stores) -- I always put hot chocolate in my husband's stocking, so I was thrilled to find this one made for two people. This is perfect.
*Kansas City Railroad Pocket Watch ($9.99 at Walgreens) -- If your guy is into trains, this is a cool idea because it is a 26'' chained pocket watch that was inspired by the 1874 Jesse James Train Robbery. It doesn't need winding and it looks cool.
*Wireless Smartphone Camera Remote Click & Go ($20 at Walgreens) -- I don't know about the Dad in your family, but my hubby is often not in our photos because he usually takes them, so this stocking stuffer solves that problem. With the Click & Go, download a free app that works with the device so that hands free photos can be taken of the whole family, Dad included.
*Living Solutions Rotating Phone Holder ($10.49 at Walgreens) -- This stocking stuffer makes sense because finding a place to put his phone while driving can be tricky as it slides, falls and disappears in transit and the phone can also be a flying hazard if he has to suddenly brake, so this is a safety gift, too.
*BeerBites Fred Porcelain Snack Dish ($14.99 at Bed, Bath & Beyond) -- Perfect for the big game when he is hosting because this beer shaped dish holds peanuts, pretzels or other munchies that his buddies will enjoy.
*Nostalgic Wooden Games ($5 at Bed, Bath & Beyond) -- Take him back to his childhood with these nice looking wooden games that include Tic Tac Toe and Solitaire that are fun to play and also look cool on his office desk.
For the Furry Family Members:
*PetShoppe Silly Bums ($5 at Walgreens) -- This hilarious butt toy squeaks and looks like Santa's bum or a reindeer's bottom and tail. It is made for dogs, but our cat, Lucy took it right out of my hands while I was writing this article and she ran off with it, so felines dig it, too. So funny!
*Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer Pet Toy ($5.99 or 2 for $10 at Walgreens) -- Your dog will love this squeaky toy that looks like a long Rudolph. Fun!
