Seasonal Sips & Spirits for the Holiday Celebrations

Cheers to the festive holiday season!  If you are like me, you like to entertain with cocktails that are unique, tasty and visual.  Check out these fun recipes that I found that are super easy to make and pretty to serve.

Red Raspberry Shooters
Not only is this drink low in calories because it calls for zero calorie Black Raspberry Sparkling Ice, but it also sports a pretty red glow and is rimmed with what looks like snowflakes.  Here is how you make the Red Raspberry Shooter...

Ingredients:
Black Raspberry Sparkling Ice
1 oz. Vanilla Flavored Vodka
White sugar nonpareils for rimming each shot glass

Instructions:
1.  Wet the rim of a chilled shot glass and dip into a shallow bowl of nonpareils.
2.  Pour in chilled vodka and top with a splash of Black Raspberry Sparkling ICE
Blackberry Martini
Ingredients:
3 oz. Black Raspberry Sparkling ICE
1 ½ oz.  Vodka
½ oz.  Chambord
½ oz.  Pineapple juice
Instructions:
          1.  Combine vodka, Chambord, and pineapple juice in shaker with ice.
          2.  Shake, strain, and pour into chilled martini glass
          3.  Top with Sparkling ICE and garnish with fresh berries

Now I am going to switch it up and a bit and go for a trendy drink that is all the rage right now.  I also decided to show this next one to honor our Lisa Haffner who, after 22 years at KTVK and  the last eight years hosting this show, has decided to leave Channel 3 to have more time with her family.  I am so excited for her and I will miss her!  I truly adore her, so I wanted to show you all how to make her favorite drink which is gaining popularity by the day now.

So if you want to serve your guests the drink that is on the cutting edge right now, try the Moscow Mule and serve it in the authentic Solid Copper Moscow Mule Mug that is sold at Bed, Bath & Beyond.  Here is how to make this...

The Moscow Mule

this recipe makes one drink for the 16 oz. Moscow Mule Mug

Ingredients:
2 oz of vodka
1 oz fresh lime juice
Ginger Beer
Lime & Mint sprig to garnish

Instructions:
1.  Pour the vodka and the lime juice into the chilled copper mug that contains several ice cubes.
2.  Top off with ginger beer and stir.
3.  Garnish with a lime wedge and a mint sprig.

Cheers to Lisa!  I wish her well as she starts this next new chapter in her life.

I also showed several fun accessories in the segment that included wine charms, a tie decoration that goes around a bottle of wine to give as a gift to a guy and more.  All of the accessories shown are sold at Total Wine stores.

And last but not least, check out this fun party drink idea that is like a cocktail and a tasty popsicle all packaged up in one easy to serve and enjoy frozen beverage.  The Vodka Martini Skinny Freezer looks like a push up popsicle and tastes like a treat and it only has 100 calories so this is a fun and low calorie cocktail option to offer to your guests.  They come in great flavors like Watermelon Lemonade, Appletini and more. The Vodka Martini Skinny Freezers are sold at BevMo.

Cheers to a fun and safe holiday season with celebrations your family and friends will remember
