Flavors of Fall Beauty Products
Don't you love the scents of the season like pumpkin and peppermint? I sure do, so I thought it would be fun to show some pampering beauty products that offer the flavors of the holiday season. Here are my festive favorites that are fun to have for yourself or to give as gifts...
Pumpkin: philosophy homemade pumpkin pie shampoo, shower gel & bubble bath:
This fun philosophy product sports a pleasing pumpkin scent. Plus this item multi-tasks to work as a shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath. And the bottle that it comes in includes a yummy recipe for homemade pumpkin pie. Gotta love that! Get this for a fun gift for $16.50 at www.philosophy.com or local philosophy stores like the one located in the Casa Paloma Shopping Center in Chandler.
Apple Pie: philosophy granny's apple pie shampoo, shower gel & bubble bath:
If the seasonal scent of homemade apple pie gets you excited for the holidays, try this philosophy item that is made with a comforting blend of apple and spice. Pamper yourself or give as a gift. This sells for $16.50 at the philosophy store and it also includes the perfect recipe for homemade apple pie on the bottle.
Pomegranate: Weleda Pomegranate Firming Eye Cream:
One undesired side effect of the holidays are tired eyes from the busy season, so I like Weleda's eye cream because it is harvested from organic pomegranates. Plus the antioxidants provide anti-aging benefits, too. The eye cream sells for $33 at Whole Foods or at www.weleda.com.
Cranberry: Freeman Feeling Beautiful Acai Purifying Clay Mask & Bath & Body Works Winter Cranberry Hand Soap
Freeman Feeling Beautiful Acai Purifying Clay Mask will give you a festive facial. This mask blends cranberry, acai, goji, mango, mangosteen, noni and blueberry with a clay mask consistency that revitalizes dull skin. This is available at Walmart and CVS for under $5, so the price is right.
Bath & Body Works has some terrific seasonal hand soaps that include the Anti-Bacterial Gentle Foaming Hand Soap in the Winter Cranberry Scent. Nice to have, nice to give and perfect to put out in the bathroom for your holiday guests. $5.50 a bottle at Bath & Body Works stores.
Peppermint: Candy Cane Bliss Hand Soap at Bath & Body Works:
My favorite hand soap all year and especially during the holidays is the collection at Bath & Body Works, so I was excited to purchase the Candy Cane Bliss to place in my guest bathroom. Plus the store usually has specials if you buy the soap in bulk. I paid $15 and got five different soaps, but do check with your local store to see what this week's special is, as it can change. Mix and match your soaps with the big selection of holiday hand soap that adds a festive touch to your powder room just in time for your holiday company.
Warm Winter Fireside: LUSH Cinders ($4.95) at LUSH stores and at www.lushusa.com:
This Bath Bomb evokes the feeling of a glowing fireside. Made with warming cinnamon leaf oil and sweet orange oil and a touch of popping candy to top it all off, it emulates the comforting sound of a crackling fire while relaxing in the bath.
Olives: Moroccanoil Dry Body Oil ($38 at www.moroccanoil.com & Spa Nordstrom):
Did you know that olives are picked throughout the fall making them a fall fruit? Moroccanoil Dry Body Oil is made with olive oil and contains a high level of healthy monounsaturated fatty acids and antioxidant vitamin E that moisturizes, protects and nourishes the skin. This is helpful and feels great on skin that can dried out with the fall weather changes. I also like that this bottle sprays the oil onto the skin making for a nice application.
Winter Themed Gift Kits by LUSH:
*LUSH Joy To The World ($14.95) -- This already wrapped gift contains rose absolute in Snowcake soap that will soothe cracked skin while the oat milk, lavender and chamomile in the Dream Cream calms irritations, reduces redness and banishes blotches.
*LUSH Snowman Invasion ($12.95) -- A cute Snowmen Bath Bomb comes with a Cinders Bath Bomb that crackles and sparks to create the atmosphere of a snowman invasion. Fun and unique.
*LUSH Mr. Frosty ($23.95) -- Unwrap this jolly snowman and discover three wonderful bath products that include Cinders, Bombardino and Golden Wonder Bath Bombs.
One for the Guys:
*Peppermint for the Men -- Suave Professional Men Deep Clean Peppermint Shampoo -- My husband brought this home from Fry's and it has a unique masculine peppermint scent that I like. The bottle says that it is made for men. I thought this was interesting and it smells great. Who says that guys can't get in on the scents of the season?
