Sara Lee Pound Cake can be found in the freezer section of most all grocery stores.
If you choose to use a boxed cake mix, prepare as directed, use a jelly roll pan or a cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes, until lightly browned on top.

Petits Fours Icing
9 cups sifted confectioners' sugar (about 2 pounds)
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Combine ingredients in top of a double boiler and heat over boiling water just to lukewarm.  Do not overheat icing - it'll become less shiny!
Remove from heat, leaving icing over hot water to keep it thin.  You can tint it with food coloring if desired.  You can reheat this frosting or add a few drops of hot water at a time until perfect consistency.

This recipe can frost as many as 35, 2-inch squares.  Recipe can be cut in half.
