Fort McDowell Casino is taking the traditional bingo game and adding some lunar flare. This is not your grandma's bingo!

Lunar Bingo is this Saturday night starting at midnight.

"The last time we had it, it was so much fun," said Sandra Grijalva. "There are black lights, drink specials. It was crazy! ... It was so packed that we actually had people playing bingo on the floor!"

Ruben S of The Beat will be there to host and DJ the event.

"It's a great party," Grijalva said. "[The players] get loud, they get crazy!" The buy-in is just $5 a pack, and payouts range from $200 to $500. Planet Bingo/ MP bingo and Flash Ball will be available for an extra charge.

Grijalva said Fort McDowell Casino will be giving away more than $6,000 in cash and prizes at Saturday night's event.

While the Lunar Bingo fun doesn't start until midnight, Grijalva says you should plan to get there early because it's going to be packed.

"Get there early if you want a chair, otherwise you're going to be sitting on the floor," she said.

If you can't make it to Fort McDowell Casino on May 29, there's another Lunar Bingo event planned for June.

Fort McDowell Casino's Bingo has paid out over $14,000,000 in the last 12 months. That means that Fort McDowell Casino is paying over $1,000,000 in Bingo alone, each month!
