PHOENIX - AZ Pain Centers getting involved in fighting child abuse by supporting AZ Hope and Future.

AZ Hope and a Future is an organization in the state that is working to eliminate child abuse. They believe no child should not live and prosper.

Governor Jan Brewer declared April as child abuse prevention month in the state.

During this month organizations such as AZ Pain Centers and AZ Hope and Future, along with the governor's office bring awareness throughout the state of Arizona to make a difference in someone's life.

On April 9, AZ Hope and a Future is having the Strike Our Child Abuse Walk to the baseball stadium in downtown Phoenix. For a donation of $29.11 you can participate in the walk starting at Civic Space Park, 424 North Central Avenue, to Chase Field. The walk begins at 3:45 p.m. with the first pitch at 5:10 p.m.

The donation includes a ticket to the baseball game, a t-shirt, hot dog and a coke.

All the proceeds go to helping prevent child abuse.

The event demonstrates how the public is stepping up and helping fight child abuse in Arizona.

Families can participate so parents can educate their kids about the cause.

How little or much you can do, donating, joining in the walk or volunteering can make a big difference.
