CRAVE ICE CREAM
Crave Ice Cream

Homemade Summer Strawberries and Cream Ice Cream Recipe:

2 cups heavy cream
¾ cups plus 2 tablespoons sugar
3 ½ cups fresh strawberries
Pinch of salt

Before preparing your fresh ice cream, put strawberries in a bowl and sprinkles 2 tablespoons of sugar on top, mix and let marinate for at least 4 hours.

Next, strain out most of the strawberry liquid that has formed in the bowl (mostly water).

Divide cream in half.

Warm one half in a saucepan with sugar and salt, just until sugar is dissolved. Turn off heat. Add additional cream and berries. Blend in berries completely, or halfway if you like chunks of fruit in the completed ice cream.

It is easiest to use an immersion blender, but carefully puring the mixture into your regular blender will work as well.

Refridgerate mix overnight, or for 4-6 hours. This step is important!

Then, follow the instructions on your ice cream maker, and enjoy the fresh taste of summer!

Recipe yeilds one quart.
