Gayle Bass
Co-host, Your Life A to Z
Gayle Bass
For the last six years, award-winning journalist Gayle Bass has been a regular co-host of KTVK – Channel 3 "Your Life, A to Z" with Lisa Haffner.
She’s also popular as “The Click Chick,” on KTAR.com and "Arizona’s Morning News," breaking down the hot, newsworthy and bizarre on the Internet, and is one of four commentators -- the proud sole female in what she calls “a sea of alpha males” -- in "The War Room," KTAR’s weekly no-holds-barred political roundtable.
Gayle came to Arizona from her native California in 1996 to pursue a Masters Degree in journalism at Arizona State University.
While in school, she participated in student-run TV and radio news and interned for the consumer reporter for Channel 3’s 3 On Your Side segment. In 1998, Gayle joined the KTAR news team working as an anchor, reporter and later the “fill-in” film critic for "Another Saturday Night with M.V. Moorhead."
In 1999, while still working in radio as a news anchor, film critic and producer she started working as an online news editor and anchor for the Eppy award-winning azcentral.com. She was the first journalist in the United States to anchor a newscast online for a major metropolitan newspaper.
Gayle is an avid reader and is finishing up work on a novel. On her down time, she likes to hop on the back of a horse, and vows to learn how to ride a Harley-Davidson.
