Lisa Haffner

Host, Your Life A to Z

Lisa Haffner has been the host of Your Life A to Z since September of 2005. She says she loves the show, "because you will learn a lot! From the latest in fashion to cooking tips, even information about natural health care remedies." Lisa first came to 3TV in November of 1991. She was Lisa Taranto then, and started at the station's Northern Arizona Bureau as a news reporter. In 1993, Lisa moved to Phoenix and continued in the news department as a reporter and fill-in anchor. Check out the Your Life A to Z page! In 1995 Lisa changed her name to Lisa Haffner after marrying the station's pilot/reporter Bruce Haffner. In 1995, Haffner became the very first entertainment-roving "live shot" reporter for "Good Evening Arizona." She actually did live shots on top of elephants and even went live in "the globe of death." Once she was live while parasailing along Lake Havasu. Haffner has interviewed major stars from Mel Gibson to Sandra Bullock. Prior to 3TV, Haffner was an anchor and reporter for WHBF-TV in Rock Island, Ill. She graduated with a journalism degree from Northern Illinois University in 1989. In 1986, Haffner was Miss Teen Illinois. She competed for the national title and lost to Miss Ohio, who most folks know now as actress Halle Berry. (Haffner says she doesn't feel too badly now that she realizes to whom she lost the title!) She won numerous other titles, such as 1985 Miss Columbus Day Queen for City of Chicago and 1987 Miss Petite Illinois.
