Chef Dad's Chocolate Mug Cake
INGREDIENTS:
¼ Cup All Purpose Flour
3 Tbsp. Chocolate Chips
2 Tbsp. Cocoa Powder
¼ Cup Sugar
Pinch of Salt
3 Tbsp. Whole Milk
3 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil
1 Egg
¼ tsp. Vanilla Extract
-------------------------
OPTIONAL TOPPINGS:
Chocolate Syrup
Vanilla Ice Cream
Powdered Sugar
Whipped Cream
COOKING:
1) In a large bowl, combine your flour and chocolate chips then toss chips to coat well. Add the cocoa, sugar and salt then whisk together. Set aside.
2) In a separate bowl, whisk together your milk, oil, egg & extract until well combined. Pour mixture into the bowl with the flour mix then use a spatula to bring ingredients together into a batter. Don't overwork this mixture.
3) Lightly coat the inside of a large coffee or latte mug with cooking spray then pour your batter into the mug. Put your mug on a paper plate then into the microwave on high for 3 minutes. Remove from microwave and let cool for a few minutes. Serve as is or scoop some vanilla ice cream on top with a little chocolate syrup.
Cooks Notes: If you don't have any vegetable oil in the house, feel free to use canola, corn or peanut oil.
