Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park | Run What Ya Brung
The newly transformed Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, formerly known as Firebird International Raceway and located on the Gila River Indian Community, welcomes all car enthusiasts to their Drag Strip Run What You Brung event October 5th and 6th. This retro car experience brings back memories of days past where arm drop drags and checkered flags on the circuits reigned supreme. Any car that passes tune up inspections at the course is allowed to race on the track.

WHAT: The Run What Ya Brung event will feature arm drop drags and test and tune runs. Saturday will feature a 200 vehicle car show with live music and awards. There will be goodie bags and tech inspections for all entries.

Pumpkin Swirl Brownies
2 cups (16 oz) butter
2 cups (16 oz) semisweet chocolate chips
6 large eggs
2 cups brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons salt
2 cups pumpkin puree
2 tablespoons oil
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon allspice

Preheat the oven to 350F and line a 9″x9″ cake pan with parchment paper and spray with nonstick spray.

Combine the butter and chocolate in a plastic container and melt in the microwave at 30 second intervals. Once melted, stir together completely.

In a large bowl combine the eggs, sugar and vanilla. Sift the flour over the mixture and add the salt.Stir until combined.

Put about a third of the batter into another bowl and stir the pumpkin, oil, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice into it. Stir the chocolate mixture into the remaining batter and spread into the prepared pan. Spoon the pumpkin mixture in dollops on top of the brownie. Swirl a knife through both to create a swirled effect.

Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until set in the middle. Makes about 16 brownies.
