BAGHDAD (AP) — Another series of bombings and other attacks has killed 23 people in Iraq today.
In the deadliest of today's attacks, officials say 14 people were killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up inside a Shiite mosque in a village north of Baghdad.
In another attack, police say a suicide bomber rammed his explosives-laden car into a police patrol in a village near the northern city of Mosul, where militant groups have been gaining strength. One policeman and three civilian bystanders were killed.
A wave of killing has claimed more than 2,000 lives across Iraq since the start of April.
