CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) — Venezuela's government says a worker at a state-supported farm has been wounded in a shooting and a member of a TV crew is suspected.

Vice President Elias Jaua says the shooting happened Tuesday in north-central Aragua state.

A statement from Jaua on Thursday says a crew from the TV channel Globovision entered the farm and was approached by a group of workers who told the team to leave.

Jaua says a farm equipment operator was then wounded in the neck by a gunshot. He says the shot was presumably fired by a member of the Globovision crew.

The TV channel takes a strongly critical stance toward Venezuela's government. The channel says it's cooperating with authorities and says under no circumstance does it condone an employee being armed during journalistic work.
