TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- Authorities say a woman is in custody in connection with a crash that killed a motorcyclist in Tempe.

Tempe police say 32-year-old Veronica Muckerman is being held on suspicion of one count of manslaughter and three counts of aggravated DUI.

They say Muckerman displayed signs of alcohol impairment.

Police say Muckerman had her 9 and 12-year-old daughters in the SUV with her at the time of Tuesday night's accident. The children weren't hurt.

Police say 21-year-old Elsa Tovar later died at a hospital from her injuries.

Authorities didn't immediately know Wednesday if Muckerman has an attorney yet.

According to court records, Muckerman's lost her right to have an Arizona driver's license as a result of a prior extreme DUI conviction in 2011.
