YOUNG, Ariz. -- Firefighters began battling a wildfire Thursday in the Tonto National Forest.
The Poco fire started burning about six miles northeast of the town of Young. The blaze covers approximately 1,000 acres and is zero percent contained.
No homes are in danger, and no one has been ordered to evacuate.
Hot shot crews from Payson and Pleasant Valley are battling the fire, along with four engines and a crew from Payson. Additional air resources have also been ordered.
The cause of the Poco fire is currently under investigation.
