PRESCOTT, Ariz. -- Critics are voicing disapproval after an Arizona police officer tased a mentally challenged man.
Cell phone video shows Robert Denoyelles had his hands in the air when the officer tased him outside a restaurant Friday afternoon. While the man was on the ground, the officer tased him again.
Denoyelles, 41, was arrested for resisting arrest and threatening an officer.
The officer is with the Yavapai-Prescott Tribal Police Department. The department is not talking about the incident.
There are indications the man may have been panhandling outside the Golden Corral Restaurant and upset a customer.
3TV's Mike Watkiss reports the officer didn't know the entire incident was being recorded.
